1. Parts (2) and (3) of this similar group are similar goods to each other, Parts (3) and (4) are similar goods to each other, and the other parts are not similar to one another;
2. Part (1) is cross-searched with semiconductors in 0908 in the 8th and earlier editions;
3. Parts (3) and (4) are cross-searched with inductors (electricity) in 0910 in the 12th and earlier editions, thermostats in 0910 in the 11th and earlier editions, and stage-lighting regulators in 1101 in the 7th and earlier editions;
4. Part (7) is similar to fibre-optic cables in 0912, and is cross-searched with fibre-optic cables in 0907 in the 9th and earlier editions.

This group has seven parts: (1) semiconductors and carbon materials; (2) printed circuits, integrated circuits, chips; (3) components such as coils, capacitors, resistors and electron tubes; (4) electrical devices such as transformers, switches, sockets, connectors and power supplies; (5) display screens; (6) remote-control apparatus; (7) optical fibres. Official note 1: Parts (2) and (3) are similar to each other, Parts (3) and (4) are similar to each other, and the other parts are not similar to one another.
Chip companies should note that integrated circuits and chips are in Part (2), which is similar to the electronic components in Part (3); when searching prior trademarks, Parts (2), (3) and (4) should be searched together (practical tip).
Changes in 2026: “inductors (electricity)” was moved from Part (5) of 0910 into Part (4) of this group, and note 3 was amended accordingly so that Parts (3) and (4) are cross-searched with inductors (electricity) in 0910 in the 12th and earlier editions.
The optical fibres in Part (7) are similar to the fibre-optic cables in 0912 (note 4); the semiconductors in Part (1) are cross-searched with semiconductors in 0908 in the 8th and earlier editions (note 2).
