1. This similar group is similar to stationery, school supplies (stationery) and office stationery in 1611, and is cross-searched with office requisites except furniture in 1611 in the 11th and earlier editions;

2. writing materials are similar to Part (1) of 1605 and 1612;

3. brush pens (stationery) are similar to flat brushes in 2107;

4. pens with a stylus tip for operating touchscreen devices (writing instruments) are similar to styluses for touchscreens in 0901.

This group covers fountain pens, pencils, ballpoint pens, mechanical pencils, nibs, artists' brushes, brush pens (stationery), pens with a stylus tip for operating touchscreen devices, etc. Official notes: this group is similar to stationery in 1611; writing materials are similar to Part (1) of 1605 and 1612; brush pens (stationery) are similar to flat brushes in 2107; pens with a stylus tip are similar to styluses for touchscreens in 0901.

A stationery brand's prior search should include 1605, 1611 and 1612; stylus-pen companies also file in 0901 of Class 9 (practical tip). No additions or deletions to this group in 2026.
