This group is the only category of retail and wholesale services accepted in China: the first paragraph (retail/wholesale services for pharmaceutical, veterinary and sanitary preparations and medical supplies) is similar to the services in each part, while Part (1) (retail or wholesale of pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical preparations, sanitary preparations and medical supplies) and Part (2) (retail or wholesale of veterinary medicines and veterinary preparations) are not similar to each other (official notes 1 and 2). Medicines for humans and for animals must be filed separately.

Experience-based tip: when applying for services in this group, examination may require you to state your pharmaceutical-business qualifications; follow the Trademark Office's requirements of the time. Medicines themselves are in Class 5 (0501, etc.) and medical devices in Class 10; this group protects only retail and wholesale services and does not replace the goods classes. No additions or deletions to this group in 2026.
