1. This similar group is cross-searched with time clocks (time-recording devices) in Part (1) of 0902 in the 10th and earlier editions;

2. goods protected across similar groups: unfilled toner cartridges for printers and photocopiers (0901, 0903), unfilled ink cartridges for printers and photocopiers (0901, 0903);

3. telefax apparatus and fax machines are similar to telephones in 0907.

This group includes photocopiers, fax machines, unfilled toner cartridges and ink cartridges for printers and photocopiers, time-attendance machines, plotters, etc.; typewriters, duplicators and mimeographs are not in this group. Toner cartridges and ink cartridges are cross-group protected goods, belonging to both 0901 and 0903 (note 2), so an office-consumables company filing only in this group also covers the corresponding items in 0901.

Telefax apparatus and fax machines are similar to telephones in 0907 (note 3); time-attendance machines and time clocks are cross-searched with time clocks in Part (1) of 0902 in the 10th and earlier editions (note 1). Printers themselves are in 0901 (computer peripherals), not in this group, so “printers” should be filed in 0901 (practical tip).
