1. This similar group is similar to catechu, tannin and tannic acid in Part (5) of 0102 and to gallnut in Part (1) of 0104, and is cross-searched with sizing preparations (chemical preparations) in Part (1) of 0104 in the 10th and earlier editions and with bitter gallnut in Part (1) of 0104 in the 9th and earlier editions;
2. oils for currying leather, oils for tanning leather and oils for dressing leather are similar to oils and greases for leather in 0401, and are cross-searched with grease for currying leather in 0401 in the 9th and earlier editions.

This group covers tanning materials, tanning agents, leather-treatment preparations, sizing agents, tannic acid, etc. Official notes: this group is similar to catechu, tannin and tannic acid in Part (5) of 0102 and gallnut in Part (1) of 0104; oils for currying, tanning and dressing leather are similar to oils and greases for leather in 0401.
Leather protectants and leather cream (for polishing) are in 0303; leather-bleaching preparations and leather detergents are in 0303 and are similar to the second paragraph of 0301; leather dyes are in 0201; leather-chemical companies select groups separately by process step (practical tip). No additions or deletions to this group in 2026.
