This similar group is similar to liquid rubber, rubber solution in 1701 and to chemical compositions for sealing cracks, polyurethane foam joint fillers, chemical compositions for repairing cracks and chemical compositions for repairing leaks in 1702, and is cross-searched with liquid rubber in 1701 in the 9th and earlier editions.

This group covers adhesives for industrial use, various glues (gum arabic, gum tragacanth, isinglass, etc.), compositions for repairing tyres, adhesive preparations for grafting trees, etc.; it does not include adhesives for stationery or household use. Official note: this group is similar to liquid rubber and rubber solution in 1701 and to chemical compositions for sealing cracks, polyurethane foam joint fillers and chemical compositions for repairing cracks and leaks in 1702.
Glues for stationery and household use are in 1615 of Class 16, adhesives for medical use are in 0501, dental adhesives are in 0507, and wallpaper paste and tile adhesive are checked by use in Classes 1, 17 and 19 respectively (practical tip).
In 2026, “gluten glue not for stationery or household use” was deleted.
