Official note: this group is cross-searched with jewellery boxes of non-precious metal in 2006 in the 8th and earlier editions. In 2026, the note to Class 14 added “this class includes, in particular: certain goods of precious metal not classified by function or purpose, such as multipurpose boxes, statues, busts and works of art of precious metal”. Jewellery boxes of ordinary materials are now filed in this group (practical tip).
