1. Goods in the different parts of this similar group are not similar to one another;
2. Part (1) is similar to unprocessed cellulose acetate in Part (19) of 0104 and is cross-searched with polyurethane in 0115 in the 11th and earlier editions;
3. Part (2) is similar to vulcanising agents in Part (4) of 0102 and to Part (11) of 0104.

This group has two parts: (1) unprocessed synthetic resins, unprocessed plastics, silicones, etc.; (2) plasticisers and dispersants for plastics. Official notes: goods in the different parts are not similar to one another; Part (1) is similar to unprocessed cellulose acetate in Part (19) of 0104 and is cross-searched with polyurethane in 0115 in the 11th and earlier editions; Part (2) is similar to vulcanising agents in Part (4) of 0102 and to Part (11) of 0104.
“Unprocessed” is the boundary between this group and Class 17: semi-processed artificial resins and plastic products are in Class 17 (in 2026 the note to Class 2 also changed “semi-processed resins” to “semi-processed artificial resins”), and natural resins are in 0207 (practical tip).
