1. Goods in the different parts of this similar group are not similar to one another;
2. goods protected across similar groups: pulverisers (Part (2) of 0702, 0725, 0733, 0752), choppers for industrial use (machines) (Part (2) of 0702, 0709, 0752);
3. Part (2) is cross-searched with pulverisers, pulverisers (machines) and choppers for industrial use (machines) in 0753 in the 8th and earlier editions;
4. in Part (6), similar goods are determined according to the function and intended use of the goods.
Practice notes (J&C)
This group has six parts, which are not similar to one another (note 1): (1) aeration pumps for aquaria, net-hauling machines; (2) feed-processing machinery (pulverisers, fodder rolling machines, etc.); (3) milking machines, incubators, beekeeping machinery, battery-cage equipment for laying hens; (4) animal shearing machines; (5) salt-pan machinery; (6) horse walkers (similarity determined by function and intended use, note 4).
The pulverisers and choppers for industrial use in Part (2) are cross-group protected goods, belonging also to 0725, 0733 and 0752 or 0709 (note 2). An animal-husbandry equipment company's prior search should include these groups (practical tip). No additions or deletions to this group in 2026.
