Umbrellas are similar to garden parasols in Part (5) of 2202.
Practice notes (J&C)
This group covers umbrellas, ribs and frames for hand-held umbrellas or parasols, umbrella sticks, umbrella covers, etc. Changes in 2026: ribs, frames and parasols gained the qualifier “hand-held”, and “umbrellas” was changed to “umbrellas*”; a new note was added: umbrellas are similar to garden parasols in Part (5) of 2202. From 2026, garden-parasol companies file in 2202 of Class 22 (practical tip).

Data version: CNIPA Table of Similar Goods and Services, 2026 text (based on the 13th edition of the Nice Classification, NCL 13-2026, in force since 1 January 2026).
