This group includes fire extinguishers, fire-extinguishing balls, fire hoses, fire-hose nozzles, fire pumps, fire sprinkler systems, etc. Official note: fire hoses are similar to canvas hoses in 1704 and are cross-searched with 1704 in the 9th and earlier editions.
Changes in 2026: “automatic sprinklers for fire extinguishing” was changed to “fire sprinkler systems”; fire engines were moved into 1202 and fireboats into 1210, both in Class 12. From 2026, fire-equipment companies must move vehicle items to Class 12 (practical tip).
Safety-protection articles (fireproof clothing, helmets, respiratory masks) are in 0919, not in this group.
