This group covers wheat, maize, barley, oats, unprocessed cocoa beans, unprocessed paddy rice, etc.; there are no official notes. In 2026, the note to Class 31 changed “unprocessed cereals” to “unprocessed cereals and paddy rice” and deleted the exclusion “rice (Class 30)”. Processed rice and flour are in 3008 of Class 30 (practical tip).
