Notes on similar group 1619

Official notes (CNIPA Table of Similar Goods and Services, 2026 text; J&C reference translation)

Goods in the different parts of this similar group are not similar to one another, but the goods in Part (2) are similar to chalk, marking chalk and coloured chalks (crayons) in Part (1), and are cross-searched with marking chalk in Part (1) in the 8th and earlier editions.

Practice notes (J&C)

This group has two parts: (1) chalk, teaching materials (except apparatus), models and specimens for teaching, blackboard erasers, printed arithmetic tables, etc.; (2) tailors' chalk, tailors' marking talc. Official note: the parts are not similar to one another, but Part (2) is similar to the chalk and marking chalk in Part (1).

In 2026, “arithmetic tables” and “calculation tables” were changed to “printed arithmetic tables” and “printed calculation tables”. Blackboards and blackboard erasers are in Part (1) of this group, teaching projection equipment is in 0909 of Class 9, and education services are in Class 41 (practical tip).
