1. Medical apparatus and instruments are similar to 1002 and 1003;
2. fumigation apparatus for medical use is similar to fumigation apparatus not for medical use in 1109;
3. instrument cases for doctors and medical instrument cases are similar to portable medicine chests (filled) and first-aid boxes (filled) in 0501;
4. veterinary apparatus and tools are cross-searched with veterinary knives in 0810 in the 10th and earlier editions;
5. medical diagnostic apparatus and medical diagnostic apparatus for medical laboratories are similar to 1003.

This is the largest group in Class 10: surgical instruments, medical needles, medical catheters, veterinary apparatus, medical diagnostic apparatus, massage apparatus, etc. Official notes: medical apparatus and instruments are similar to 1002 and 1003; medical diagnostic apparatus is similar to 1003; fumigation apparatus for medical use is similar to fumigation apparatus not for medical use in 1109; instrument cases for doctors are similar to first-aid boxes in 0501.
Changes in 2026: automatic vaccination equipment for livestock, blackhead extractors for medical use, acne extractors for medical use and facial massage rollers were added; “cryogenic apparatus for medical use” was changed to “cryotherapy apparatus for medical use”; “tongue scrapers” was moved to 2108 of Class 21.
Practical tip: the actual use of trademarks for medical devices is subject to medical-device regulation, so items should correspond to the product name on the registration certificate; beauty instruments claiming medical functions are in this group, ordinary beauty massagers are also in this group, and the heating and lighting types among household beauty appliances are checked against Class 11.
