1. Goods in the different parts of this similar group are not similar to one another;
2. goods protected across similar groups: fruit- and vegetable-based snacks (Part (1) of 2904, 2911);
3. Part (1) is cross-searched with fruit salads in 2909, coconut paste, lotus paste, sesame paste and red bean paste in 3007 in the 10th and earlier editions, and puffed potato chips and puffed fruit and vegetable chips in 3010 in the 8th and earlier editions;
4. edible pollen is similar to pollen (raw material) in 3103.

This group has two parts: (1) jams, preserved fruit, dried fruit, pickled fruit, peanut butter, fruit- and vegetable-based snacks, etc.; (2) processed betel nuts. Official notes: fruit- and vegetable-based snacks are cross-group protected goods (Part (1) of 2904, 2911); edible pollen is similar to pollen (raw material) in 3103.
In 2026, “seaweed-based snacks” was added to Part (1). Nut snacks are in 2911, grain snacks are in 3006/3010 of Class 30, and fresh fruit is in 3105 of Class 31 (practical tip).
