Official English notes
On 02-17-2011, the 04-19-2007 ID was amended to better clarify that the services are classified in Class 44. 01-01-2021 - U.S. applicants intending to seek Extension of Protection under the Madrid Protocol should note that the International Bureau (IB) is likely to issue a notice of irregularity requiring clarification of the nature of their services if introductory language such as "providing a website …" or "providing an on-line portal…," or similar wording, is used in the identification of services. To avoid issuance of a notice of irregularity, said applicants may wish to set forth the services in their identification by listing the principal activity first and then indicating that such services are "provided by means of a website" or "provided via a website." For purposes of illustration, instead of identifying the services as "providing a website featuring business information" in Class 35, an applicant may wish to identify such services as "providing business information via a website" in Class 35. See TMEP §1902.02(f)(ii).
