01-01-2023 - These goods are classified in Class 20 by analogy to "towel dispensers, not of metal." Under Nice 12-2023, the Alphabetical List entry "towel dispensers, fixed, of metal" in Class 20 was changed to "towel dispensers, not of metal." Generally, under Nice 12-2023, dispensers are considered storage containers for holding items or materials and dispensing them, as needed. They are classified in Class 6 when made of metal and in Class 20 when they are not made of metal, regardless of whether the dispensers are fixed or un-fixed, automatic or non-automatic.
