Nail stamping plates are metal or plastic plates covered with engraved designs for use in nail art. The engraved designs on the plates are coated or filled with nail polish, and the resulting images are transferred from the plates onto fingernails via a stamp. Nail stamping plates are classified in Class 16 by analogy to "stencils" in the Nice Alphabetical List in Class 16.
