Sexual accessories that are not for direct stimulation, such as blindfolds, arm and leg restraints, handcuffs, etc. are classified according to what they are or material composition. 01-01-2015 Pursuant to the addition of "sex toys" in Class 10 of the Nice Classification, Tenth edition, version 2015, effective 01-01-2015, further specification of the particular form or nature of the goods by its generic name is acceptable, but it is not required. Under NCL 10-2015, the designation, "sex toys" in Class 10 may encompass apparatus that function for direct stimulation, as well as goods that do not function for direct stimulation, e.g., handcuffs.
