06-11-2020 Gas masks are protective face masks for the prevention of accident or injury caused by the inhalation of gas. Gas masks are classified in Class 9 based on the wording "life-saving apparatus and instruments" in the Nice Class 9 Heading and by analogy to "respiratory masks, other than for artificial respiration" in the Nice Alphabetical List in Class 9.
