While most metal pipes and their metal parts are in Class 6, those that are parts of sanitary installations are in Class 11. 10-07-10 Added "[for rigid pipes]" to the entry to make clear the purpose of the goods. On 01-01-2017, this 04-02-1991 entry was modified by deleting the bracketed wording "[for rigid pipes]" because it is not necessary. Under Nice 11-2017, metal fittings for pipes, both flexible and rigid pipes, are classified in Class 6, and non-metal fittings for pipes, both flexible and rigid pipes, are classified in Class 17 because they function as insulating materials.
