Dietetic substances are foods and beverages prepared for special or restrictive diets. Under the Tenth Edition of the Nice Agreement, dietetic substances are classified as ordinary foods and beverages in Classes 29-33, depending on the nature of the goods, when those goods are not for medical purposes. Accordingly, gluten-free pasta (not for treatment of a medical condition) is in Class 30 in the same class as the ordinary pasta.
