"Wear" terms such as this one have been accepted by the USPTO for many years and will continue to be accepted. However, generally, various fields of "wear" cover a wide range of clothing some of which may be commonly understood to be included in this terminology and some may not. Therefore, acceptable "wear" terms should be limited to those that are currently included in the Manual. Also, note that substitution of "clothing" for "wear" is not acceptable.
