9-3-09 - the 4-2-91 entry "Hand held unit for playing electronic games" is amended to include "other than those adapted for use with an external display screen or monitor" due to the recent introduction of hand held game units that are adapted for use with external screens or monitors which are in Class 9. Under the 10th Edition of Nice Classification, implemented on 01-01-2012, the classification of hand-held units for playing electronic games no longer depends on whether the goods are for use with an external screen or monitor. All hand-held game units are classified in Class 28 as game apparatus.
