On 01-01-2016, this 01-01-2015 entry was modified to add the word "Split" to clarify the nature of the goods and to align this entry with the entry appearing in the Alphabetical List under the Nice Classification, Tenth edition, version 2016, effective 01-01-2016. 01-01-2017 - Split rings are rings having two helical turns used to string together a variety of objects, such as pages or keys. Split rings are classified according to their material composition. Key rings are comprised of split rings with decorative fobs or trinkets sold as a unit. Under Nice 11-2017, key rings are classified in Class 14 regardless of material composition.
