These goods are small and portable and feature a loop or fastener. These special characteristics make them suited for attachment to leashes. "Dog waste bag dispensers adapted for use with leashes" appears in the Nice Alphabetical List in Class 18. They are classified in Class 18 because "leashes…for animals" is in the Nice Class 18 Heading. See also "Dispensers of metal for dog waste bags" in Class 6 and "Dispensers, not of metal, for dog waste bags" in Class 20. Generally, under Nice 12-2023, dispensers are considered storage containers for holding items and dispensing them, as needed. They are classified in Class 6 when made of metal and in Class 20 when they are not made of metal, regardless of whether the dispensers are fixed or un-fixed, automatic or non-automatic.
