09-15-11 Protective clothing in Class 9 is clothing that is life preserving or that protects from life threatening injury or accidents. Please note that while sporting articles such as padding also protect against bumps and bruises, such injury is not usually life threatening or fatal. As a result, those items fall in Class 28 as sporting articles.
