05-02-2013: This entry of 04-02-1991 was modified to include the term "for" before the bracketed fill-in portion in order for the resulting identification to be grammatically accurate when inserted in an application filed through the trademark electronic filing system. "Knives" without further modification is acceptable in Class 8. On 03-26-2015, this 5-02-2013 entry was amended from "Knives for {specify type, e.g., hunting, folding, chef, kitchen, butcher, paring, fishing, or sport}" to the current entry for clarity. On 05-31-2018, this 03-26-2015 entry was modified from "{Specify type of knives, e.g., hunting, folding, chef, kitchen, butcher, paring, fishing, or sport} knives [hand tools]" to "{Specify type of knives, e.g., hunting, folding, chef, kitchen, butcher, paring, fishing, sport, etc.} knives" for clarity. In addition, please note that "Knives" without additional wording is no longer acceptable in Class 8 because it is overbroad. "Knives being tableware" is acceptable wording in Class 8.
