On 01-01-2016, this 06-01-2001 entry was modified to add "for industrial purposes" to make clear the purpose of the goods and the justification for classification in Class 1. Certain specialized adhesives are classified in classes other than Class 1 based on their specific use, e.g., dental adhesives, in Class 5, and adhesives for cosmetic use, in Class 3. Please consult the Manual for examples of adhesives in other classes.
