On 01-01-2016, this 07-20-2004 entry was modified to replace "[not for stationery or household purposes]" with "for industrial purposes" to make clear the purpose of the goods and the justification for classification in Class 1. Certain specialized adhesives and glues that are not used for stationery or household purposes are classified in classes other than Class 1, e.g., dental adhesives, in Class 5, and adhesives for cosmetic use, in Class 3. Please consult the Manual for examples of adhesives in other classes.
