07-18-2013 - Outsourcing services involve arranging of service contracts or procurement of goods for others. Outsource service provider activities are classified according to nature/purpose of the outsourced service being rendered. Therefore, the services indicated in the fill-in-the-blank portion must be definite under USPTO identification and classification policy. 09-09-2021 - This entry that is designated in the "Class" field with "000" is not included in the trademark electronic filing system's version of the ID Manual. The classification for this entry varies according to its subject matter or other additional information provided within the entry. On 01-01-2023, this 07-18-2013 entry "Outsource service provider in the field of {indicate service, e.g., food preparation, medical billing, IT consulting, etc.} [Outsource service provider services are different from outsourcing services in Class 35 in that classification depends on the services being rendered by the outsource service provider]" was modified to delete "IT consulting" because the Nice Alphabetical List entry "information technology [IT] consultancy" in Class 42, which serves as the basis for this wording, no longer appears in the Nice Alphabetical List. The wording "IT consulting" is no longer acceptable without further specification.
