On 10-25-2012, this note was added to explain that jewelry rolls are pouches or bags specially adapted for holding jewelry, and comparable to 'garment bags' or 'shoe bags,' should specify the purpose, e.g., 'for travel,' to justify classification in Class 18. On 01-01-2015, this 02-18-2010 entry was transferred from Class 18 to Class 14 pursuant to the addition of "jewelry rolls" in Class 14 of the Nice Classification, Tenth edition, version 2015, effective 01-01-2015. Jewelry rolls are classified in Class 14 because they are flexible cases specially adapted for holding jewelry; therefore, the intended use does not affect classification. "Jewelry rolls" is an acceptable identification; further specification of purpose is acceptable, but it is not required.
