Argentina
Argentina’s intellectual property system is administered by the National Institute of Industrial Property (Instituto Nacional de la Propiedad Industrial, INPI Argentina), which is responsible for trademarks, patents, industrial designs, geographical indications and technological innovation.
The regime is based on the Patent and Utility Model Law (Law No. 24.481, 1995) and the Trademark Law (Law No. 22.362, 1980), balancing innovation protection with the principles of fair competition and making Argentina one of the most mature IP systems in South America.
